Born and raised on a hill called Sunrise, I was surrounded by tall trees and sunshine for the majority of my formative years. I learned how to listen to my innermost thoughts, the ones born from solitude, which played a crucial role in developing the lens through which I see the world. Even though I grew up among branches and blooms galore, I still faced hardships and rain clouds such as homophobia in a rural community, experiencing sexual assault, and navigating a world that was not built to accommodate disabilities and neurodivergences. My art is a visual recount of my story, detailing the highs and lows and how they shape my perception of reality still today.
